Challenge
Tiger Woods and Nike built a shoe that applied Nike Free technology to golf, removing the rigid structure that traditional golf shoes were built around. The insight that barefoot movement produces a better, more natural swing was technically true but completely counterintuitive to golfers who had spent decades in stiff, structured footwear.
Approach
Show the constraint before you sell the release. Make golfers feel what locked movement costs them before introducing what freedom looks like. The campaign introduced the TW 13 as a new category of golf shoe, one built around the swing rather than the tradition.
